Sportsbikeshop.co.uk is the UK’s largest online retailer of motorcycle helmets, clothing, and accessories. Due to our continued success, we are looking to recruit a talented customer service advisor who is as nuts about bikes as we are!
For the successful candidate, this will be a great opportunity to join a friendly team of like-minded people who provide a level of customer service that is widely regarded as being the best in the business.
Who exactly are we looking for?
Ideally you will currently ride, or have ridden motorcycles, or be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of bikes and all things connected. You’ll have a confident, friendly personality, and be comfortable talking to people on all levels.
What does the job entail?
You will report directly to either the Customer service supervisor or the Customer service manager.
As you are primarily responsible for answering incoming phone calls and emails, you will be the first point of contact for many customers, and as such will need to display a friendly but impeccable phone manner, together with an excellent standard of written English.
We also now provide a live chat service, so an ability to think on your feet is a must!
What questions will customers ask?
You may be asked about delivery information relating to a current order. Amendment requests/item cancellations to existing orders. Payment queries and processing. Returns status and requests. Product information and advice relating to clothing, helmets etc. Specific technical information relating to a particular model. The list is endless, varied, and never boring.
Working together, like a well-oiled chain and sprocket set, there will always be someone in the team who can advise you!
Although the position includes many aspects of retail sales, your end goal will always be to provide Sportsbikeshop customers with the best possible customer service experience.
Experience and skills required:
A friendly and polite phone manner
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A good sense of humility when dealing with customer requirements.
Excellent standard of written English
A willingness to learn and develop knowledge about both market and products
Good I.T skills, in particular experience of Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook)
Previous experience of dealing directly with customers would be beneficial but not necessary.
Oh, and a good sense of humour!
Working hours are currently 9-5 Monday to Friday, plus 1 in every 3 Saturdays and 1 in every 6 Sundays on a rota system.
Part time position considered, depending on experience.
Please attach a copy of your CV together with a cover note explaining why you think you’ve got what it takes to join Team SBS!
Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications we receive, we are unable to contact everyone that applies, therefore, if you do not hear from us within 4 weeks of applying, please assume that on this occasion your application has been unsuccessful.
