This is a Key Co-ordinator Assistant role, providing administrative support to the NMSK outpatient inhouse support team in liaison with the centralised outpatient team.
The post holder will assist with clinic template amendments, booking and cancelling appointment in accordance with Government Access Targets and the Trust’s Patient Access Policy. You will be contacting and responding to queries from patients and colleagues in a professional, courteous and timely manner. Generally providing clerical support for the team as required.
Playing a central role within the service and will be required to liaise with all staff in the department, including Consultants, medical staff, junior doctors, nursing staff, administrative staff and colleagues from other departments including medical records and radiology as well as external providers.
This post is currently a 12 month fixed term position - This must include Monday and Friday.
To monitor emails and action subsequent clinic cancellation in a timely manner in line with SOPs as required by support manager/Team Lead.
Assist Manager/Team lead in the identifying of potential capacity issues and to ensure utilisation of clinics, reporting as necessary; to assist in the day to day running of the outpatient support team activities within the requests of the support manager.
To assist in providing a booking service using the hospital computer system Careflow to book, cancel and re-arrange outpatient appointments and use other modules as required in accordance with the Access Policy and government targets.
To assist Support Manager/Team Lead in ensuring maximum utilisation of capacity, filling cancellation slots as necessary in accordance with agreed booking rules/clinic protocols and dealing with clinic capacity issues.
Liaise with Support Manager/Team lead regarding any changes of ASI slot issues to manage demand
To assist Manager with any ad hoc clinics, clinic build requests or amendments liaising with IT.
Supporting the fracture clinic coordinator with calls via the liberty system when asked and required, along with supporting with the internal mailbox.
Actioning AHP access plan entries for Ortho-Geriatrics.
To monitor and book patients appointments, cash up and outcome accordingly where required/requested.
