Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive General Maintenance Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. Duties
- Work from the manager's list of odd jobs around the house that need attention
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems using schematics and technical manuals
- Carpentry work, small plumbing jobs
- Repair or modify equipment and structures
- General painting and hanging pictures
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals to diagnose issues
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all maintenance operations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with a strong understanding of electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and manuals fluently in English
- Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience within a maintenance environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards internal clients and colleagues
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical or mechanical fields are desirable
