The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Carer to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring professional who is passionate about supporting older people and leading by example.
As a Senior Carer, you will play a key role in ensuring residents receive outstanding care while supporting and supervising care staff on shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents.
- Administer medication in accordance with company policies and procedures (where qualified and authorised).
- Lead and support care assistants during shifts.
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
- Liaise effectively with nurses, healthcare professionals, residents, and families.
- Ensure dignity, privacy, and respect are upheld at all times.
- Support new staff members and promote best practice within the team.
- Assist with care planning and risk assessments where required.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience working in a care home setting.
- Have experience in a senior care role or demonstrate readiness to progress into one.
- Hold (or be willing to work towards) a relevant Health & Social Care qualification.
- Possess strong leadership and communication skills.
- Be reliable, compassionate, and professional.
- Have a genuine passion for providing exceptional care to older adults.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
