While we are primary specialists in high-end TV and film location catering, our heart remains in our popular Bridgend cafe at Abergarw Trading Estate. With seating for 60, a cosy log fire, and a rotating gallery of local artwork, our cafe offers a welcoming space for the community to enjoy the same high-standard meals we serve on set. Supported by a dedicated team of over 10 staff, we continue to research and craft innovative dishes from around the world.
Summary
Join Christopher Lee Catering as a Kitchen Porter at our vibrant Bridgend cafe. Located in Abergarw Trading Estate, this role is vital in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and kitchen support, ensuring our team can deliver exceptional meals to our community and clients alike.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen cleaning to uphold hygiene standards.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workspaces.
- Help with stock organization and storage.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the team during busy service periods to ensure efficiency.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication skills and team spirit.
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards.
- Enthusiasm for learning about culinary practices is a plus.
- Reliable and punctual attitude.
