About the Role
We are seeking an experience Child Support Workers on behalf of our client located in Doncaster and Surrounding Areas. This role will be an agency role on a flexible and ongoing basis. In this rewarding role, you will contribute to creating a warm, nurturing environment where young people feel safe, valued, and empowered to live their lives to the fullest. Your efforts will directly impact their well-being and help them thrive in a supportive, person-centred setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Meet the physical, emotional, behavioural, cultural, and safety needs of each young person.
- Ability to communicate clearly and calmly, even in high-pressure or emotional situations.
- Maintain accurate, clear, and up-to-date records in line with organisational standards.
- Encourage independence and engage residents in activities to promote well-being.
- Provide emotional support and build positive relationships with young people.
- Ensure each young person’s needs are being consistently identified and met.
- Regularly review and document changes in needs through effective support planning and risk assessments.
- Adhere to health, safety, and confidentiality policies.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Childcare setting.
- Experience caring for young people with Learning Disabilities / challenging behaviours / Autism / ADHD.
- A caring, compassionate, and empathetic attitude.
- Excellent timekeeping and communication skills.
- Be able to respond in a calm manner and have emotional resilience.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Flexible approach, sensitive to the needs of young people.
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people.
- Medication training is beneficial, but not essential.
- NVQ Level 3 is desirable, but not essential.
- PMVA training is desirable, but not essential.
