Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef(Italian pizza) to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, catering, and kitchen experience, with a focus on creating high-quality pizzas in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills whilst contributing to a welcoming dining experience for our guests. The Pizza Chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving delicious pizzas, ensuring food safety standards are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications.
- Assist in meal preparation and food presentation to ensure high standards of quality and consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Support the team in catering events and large orders as required.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Serve customers directly when needed, providing excellent customer service and ensuring satisfaction.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold hygiene standards within the kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cooking, preferably within a restaurant or catering setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
- Experience with meal preparation, food presentation, and culinary techniques specific to pizza making.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, food preparation tools, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Previous experience in serving customers is advantageous but not essential.
