Overview
This role will require the successful applicant to carry out a variety of maintenance tasks i.e plumbing, joinery, roofing, electrical works. Practical, hands on, experience is essential.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of building maintenance practices and procedures, painting & decorating, plumbing, joinery, minor roof repairs, knowledge of fire safety systems, electrical systems, and quoting.
It would be beneficial to also have experience of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Duties and Key Responsibilities
- To safely, effectively, and profitably deliver the maintenance service at client premises
- Scheduling, management, and delivery of PPM tasks, with appropriate record keeping
- Investigation works to identify root causes of issues and estimation of material & labour costs for client quotes
- Management of sub-contractors as required
- Timely & cost effective ordering of stock & equipment for tasks
- Effective communication with clients, colleagues, suppliers and management as required
- Maintaining expense records/materials usage/timesheets to enable costing of all all works undertaken
- Maintenance checks of all vehicles (company or own) prior to use
- Maintenance of all tools & plant (company-owned, personal & hired) as required
- To ensure the health & safety of colleagues, clients, the public & themselves is never compromised, and that safe systems of work are maintained at all times
- To ensure all necessary Risk & COSHH assessments are in place for all works prior to commencment
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance works or a similar role.
- Strong customer service skills, demonstrating a commitment to quality service delivery.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Initial days of working will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with further hours available if needed/requested
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.00-£15.85 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
