Responsibilities
- Operate the telehandler safely and efficiently to lift, move, and place materials at various heights and distances according to project specifications
- Conduct routine inspections of the equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks, ensuring secure placement to prevent damage or accidents
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate material deliveries and placement, maintaining smooth workflow on-site
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery or attachments, including excavators when necessary
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and adhere to site regulations at all times
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and any incidents or concerns during shifts
Experience
- Proven experience operating telehandlers in construction or industrial environments
- Valid commercial driving license with relevant endorsements for heavy machinery operation
- Strong mechanical knowledge, capable of understanding machinery components and performing basic troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience working with excavators is highly desirable
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures related to heavy equipment operation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency
