The Governors of Rudyard Kipling Primary School and Nursery wish to appoint a charismatic, highly motivated and nurturing Learning Support Assistant on a fixed term basis for 1 year in the first instance. This post will be to support children within our school who require individualised, creative and purposeful provision.

To work within a team in partnership with the SENCo, class teachers and other colleagues to support the children in reaching their best outcomes
To dynamically risk assess and manage children’s safety
To believe in outdoor education and embrace our wonderful grounds and resources
To follow our Empowerment Approach and School Values to enhance the children’s learning
To have an understanding of strategies which support SEND learners, such as Just Right, Makaton, visuals, structure and routine
To have experience of supporting children with complex needs who can demonstrate challenging behaviour
To establish positive relationships with parents, and families
