About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Early Years Teacher (EYTS) to join our Early Years team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality early education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring all children receive a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning experience.
This role requires a motivated professional who is committed to supporting children’s development, and building strong partnerships with families.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities in accordance with the EYFS framework.
- Monitor, assess, and record children’s progress, ensuring individual learning needs are met.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Lead on safeguarding and child protection in line with statutory guidance.
- Work collaboratively with Early Years Educators and support staff.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on children’s development.
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Contribute to planning meetings, staff training, and continuous professional development.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and all relevant policies and procedures.
- Support and mentor other practitioners in the skills and behaviours that safeguard and promote good outcomes for children.
Person Specification
Essential
- Qualified Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Experience working within an Early Years setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons.
- Commitment to inclusive practice and equal opportunities.
Desirable
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Experience preparing children for transition to Key Stage 1.
- Experience working with children with SEND.
