Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and customer focused Front of House team member to join our bakery café in Whitton. This is not just serving role - we are looking for someone who can take ownership of the morning shift and closing shift, manage customer confidently, and support daily café operation. Shift pro rotate early and late start. Early start 7:00 am late finish 9:00 pm.
Duties
- Opening the Café and managing morning and evening operations independently.
- Welcoming customers and providing excellent service.
- Taking and managing Custom Cake Orders accurately.
- Take orders accurately and process payments using the POS system.
- Preparing and serving beverages. ( coffee, shakes, bubble tea, smoothies etc)
- Assisting with basic food and breakfast preparations.
- Maintaining displays counters (stocking, presentation, freshness )
- Monitoring stock level and supporting stock organization.
- Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standard are maintained.
- Supporting the kitchen and the team during busy periods.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
- Confident in customer service and handling orders independently.
- Previous experience in a café, bakery, or hospitality role preferred.
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to start 6:00 AM.
- Basic Food Hygiene knowledge.
- Level 2 in Food Hygiene and Safety required.
- Weekend Availability.
- 7:00am start 9:00pm finish (pro rota) 5 days a week.
Preferred Skills (Bonus)
- Barista experience.
- Bubble tea and other food experience. ( Full Training will be provided)
- Experience taking care of celebration orders.
- Experience opening or managing a shift independently.
