We're looking for caring, proactive people to join specialist SEN schools across Sutton this September.
You'll support children and young people with autism and additional learning needs in a rewarding role where no two days are the same. Working alongside experienced teachers and therapists, you'll help pupils build their communication, confidence and independence.
Whether you already have SEN experience or have worked in care, support work, youth work or a similar role, we'd love to hear from you.
The role
- Supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs in a specialist school suited to your skills and experience.
- Working 1:1 and in small groups.
- Encouraging communication, independence and social development.
- Building positive relationships with pupils throughout the school day.
- Supporting learning inside and outside the classroom.
- Some roles may include personal care, depending on the needs of the pupils and school.
We're looking for people who are:
- Calm, patient and reliable.
- Proactive and happy to get involved.
- Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
- Available Monday-Friday during term time.
- Keen to build a career within education or SEN.

Requirements
- Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred. If you don't have one, we can help you apply.
- Right to work in the UK.
