This role offers a starting salary within Nacro’s pay structure of £26,807 with expected progression to £27,477 within the first year, subject to meeting clear criteria and performance standards, with further pay progression available in the future. We're looking for a Finance Assistant (Systems) to work with our Senior Systems Accountant to transform and enhance our NetSuite system, you'll gain hands-on experience of NetSuite, contribute to systems improvements and build the skills needed to develop a career in finance systems, technology or accounting.

About the role
You’ll play an important role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity and efficiency of our finance systems. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues across Finance, ICT and the wider organisation to support system users, maintain system data and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of our finance systems.
Whether you're AAT qualified or have equivalent experience, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge of finance systems while making a real difference within a national charity.
What you'll be doing
You'll support the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of Nacro's finance systems by:
- Maintaining and updating finance system data and configurations to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Carrying out routine system checks, identifying anomalies and supporting data quality improvements.
- Administering user accounts, permissions and system access requests.
- Supporting the testing of system upgrades, new functionality and enhancements.
- Maintaining system documentation, user guides and process notes.
- Providing first-line support to colleagues, resolving finance system queries and delivering excellent customer service.
- Working with internal stakeholders, ICT colleagues and software suppliers to resolve issues and improve system performance.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of finance systems and processes.
You'll be someone who
- Holds an AAT qualification or has equivalent finance experience.
- Has experience using financial systems and is confident working with large volumes of data.
- Has strong Microsoft Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Enjoys solving problems and investigating system or data issues.
- Can communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues at all levels, explaining finance or system processes in a straightforward way.
- Is organised, able to manage competing priorities and consistently delivers accurate work.
- Works collaboratively, building positive relationships with colleagues, customers and external suppliers.
- Is proactive, adaptable and keen to learn new skills and develop within a finance systems environment.
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and accountability in everything you do.
Experience and knowledge of NetSuite and or Oracle Financials would be advantageous but is not essential.
