Overview
We are seeking a couple of talented and passionate Chefs to join our team for the reopening of Fylingdales Inn.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, assisting in kitchen operations, and maintaining food safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional environment.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Support the head chef and sous chef with daily kitchen operations
- Monitor ingredient freshness and report any shortages or issues promptly
- Contribute to the presentation of dishes, ensuring they meet quality standards
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of food and equipment
- Serve food efficiently during service periods, ensuring guest satisfaction
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation processes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment is desirable
- Experience with restaurant service and customer interaction is advantageous
