Job Overview
SSPN seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will leverage advanced simulation tools and mechanical knowledge to optimize product designs, troubleshoot complex issues, and enhance system performance. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis to identify underlying issues affecting product performance or reliability
- Develop and validate simulation models using tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and CAD software like SolidWorks and Schematics
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to evaluate mechanical behavior under different conditions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate system design requirements into detailed CAE models
- Create detailed technical documentation, including schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and system specifications
- Support prototype testing by analyzing data, refining models, and ensuring design robustness through iterative improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred
- Proven experience with CAE tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, SolidWorks, and CAD software
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with expertise in system design principles
- Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques for troubleshooting complex engineering problems
- Familiarity with GD&T standards for precise engineering drawings and schematics
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and LabVIEW for automation purposes
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and develop detailed system models for simulation purposes
