The role will be responsible for: Diary Management; fee negotiation; work allocation; responding promptly to incoming enquiries from clients by email and telephone; guiding, and assisting in the development of Junior Clerks; support the team in its proactive approach to business development and the development of barristers' individual practices; provide a fist-class and professional service to clients and barristers.

Chambers is currently seeking an Assistant Practice Manager (“APM”) to join our highly regarded clerking team. Applicants for this job should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Conscientious, professional and well presented; strong verbal and written communication skills and professional telephone manner; experience in dealing with diary management and fees; excellent negotiation skills; ability to organise, manage and deliver your own workload with a high degree of accuracy; knowledge of listing procedures and experience in liaising with opposing teams, listing officers and Judge’s clerks; proficient at using Microsoft IT packages (LEX helpful, not essential).
