Position: Out-of-Hours On-Call Team Member (Deceased Collection)
Location: West Malling (and surrounding areas)
Hours: Flexible shifts between 5:00pm - 8:30am on weekdays, and throughout the weekend (rotational basis)

At Viner & Sons, we are looking for a compassionate and professional individual to join our out-of-hours team, helping to collect the deceased from family homes or places of death. This is a vital and rewarding role, supporting families at a difficult time with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collection of the Deceased: Assist with the safe and respectful transportation of the deceased from homes, hospitals, or care facilities.
- Client-facing Role: You will be the first point of contact for the family, offering a calm, compassionate presence during their time of grief.
- Timely Response: You will be required to respond to emergency calls, ensuring the safe and professional collection of the deceased as part of our 24/7 service.
- Professionalism: Maintain the highest level of professionalism and care at all times, in line with Viner & Sons' values and standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Empathy & Professionalism: You must be able to handle sensitive situations with tact, kindness, and respect, while maintaining a calm, professional demeanour.
- Reliability: We require individuals who are available to respond promptly to out-of-hours calls and who can be flexible with their availability on a rota basis.
- Physical Ability: The role may involve physical work, including transporting and handling the deceased, so you must be physically fit and able to work safely and with care.
- Full UK Driving Licence: You will need a full driving licence to operate our vehicles, ensuring safe and timely transport of the deceased.
