Job Introduction
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Buyer – Seasonal Home & Candles to join our Category team on a 12 month maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded buyer to take ownership of key seasonal home and candle ranges, making sure our products offer great value, choice, quality and availability for our customers.
You’ll play a key role in shaping compelling ranges across seasonal home, candles, home fragrance and related categories, using sales performance, seasonal trends, market insight and customer demand to inform your buying decisions. You’ll be responsible for identifying new product opportunities, developing ranges and working closely with suppliers to deliver the right products at the right price and at the right time.
As Senior Buyer, you’ll manage the end-to-end buying process across branded and own label products, from initial product selection and development through to launch in stores. You’ll negotiate with suppliers, review category performance and identify opportunities to drive sales, margin and innovation throughout the year.
Reporting into a Category Manager, you’ll take day-to-day responsibility for your ranges, supplier relationships and category performance. There will also be some travel required as part of the role, including supplier meetings, trade shows and store visits.
