We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team at The Castel @ Edgehill. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of excellence. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen team to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Help in the training of new kitchen staff as required.
- Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained in good working order.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
