Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
- Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of orders during service hours
- Oversee food safety practices, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
- Train new team members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
- Maintain a positive kitchen environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills with previous supervising experience
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Ability to develop innovative menus while maintaining consistency in quality
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to oversee food production processes from start to finish
- Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail and presentation excellence
