As we continue to grow, we're looking for a friendly, energetic waiter/waitress to join our front-of-house team and help make every guest feel at home.
Overview
As a waiter/waitress at Casa Cillo, you'll be the face of our restaurant — welcoming guests, guiding them through our menu, and delivering the kind of attentive, relaxed service that keeps people coming back. Day-to-day, you'll be greeting and seating guests, taking food and drink orders, serving dishes with care, answering questions about the menu, and ensuring tables are clean, set, and ready throughout service. You'll work closely with the kitchen and bar to keep everything running smoothly, and you'll handle payments accurately at the end of each meal.
Responsibilities
- Greeting, welcoming, and seating guests in a warm and professional manner
- Presenting menus, answering questions, and making recommendations on food and drink
- Taking accurate food and drink orders and relaying them to the kitchen and bar
- Serving dishes and beverages promptly and with care
- Setting, clearing, and resetting tables throughout service
- Checking in with guests to ensure they're happy and dealing with any requests
- Working closely with kitchen and bar staff to keep service running smoothly
- Handling payments accurately and processing bills at the end of each meal
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area
- Following all food safety and health & safety procedures
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality role (preferred, but not essential — full training provided)
- A warm, friendly, and positive attitude towards guests
- Strong communication skills and a good command of English
- Ability to stay calm, organised, and efficient during busy service
- A reliable team player who's happy to support colleagues
- Comfortable being on your feet for the duration of a shift
- A genuine interest in Italian food, drink, and culture
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
