We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and detail-oriented Housekeeper & Equestrian Assistant to join our private rural property. This unique dual role balances maintaining a pristine, organized family home with assisting in the care and conditioning of our horses.
No formal housekeeping or professional yard experience? No problem! While experienced applicants are welcome, we place the highest value on a proactive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a keen eye for detail. Full, supportive training will be provided for the right person. If you love variety, take pride in a clean environment, and are confident around horses, we want to hear from you.
Please Note: Core stable management duties (such as mucking out and heavy feeding routines) are already fully covered. Your equestrian focus will strictly be on fitness, welfare, and grooming.Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Domestic Care (Training Provided)
Home Presentation: Perform daily cleaning tasks across the residence, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and deep cleaning to ensure an immaculate home environment.
Laundry & Wardrobe Management: Oversee household laundry, including washing, drying, ironing, and neatly organizing clothing and linens.
Organization: Proactively tidy rooms, organize cupboards, and monitor domestic supplies to keep the home running smoothly.
Equestrian Care & Conditioning
Exercise & Fitness: Responsibly lunging, hacking, and conditioning horses according to their established schedules.
Grooming & Welfare: Providing high-quality grooming, tacking up, and general daily welfare assessments.
Handler Assistance: Assisting with turning out/bringing in, and holding horses safely for the vet or farrier when required.
Candidate Requirements
Confidence with Horses: Formal equestrian qualifications are not required, but you must be entirely confident, competent, and comfortable handling and riding/exercising horses safely.
Attitude over Experience: A naturally organized, proactive individual who notices what needs doing and takes pride in a job well done.
Attributes: Trustworthy, discrete, and happy to transition smoothly between indoor domestic tasks and outdoor estate/horse care.
Logistics: A full, clean driving license and reliable transport are essential due to our rural location.
