This is an exciting time to join the Group. We are investing in our systems, processes, and people to support continued growth, and this newly created role sits at the heart of that ambition.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. - Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in the accounts, ensuring all issues are corrected ahead of the audit cycle.
- Manage the year-end close process and prepare all supporting schedules and documentation required for external audit.
- Liaise directly with external auditors, providing clear responses to queries and ensuring audit files are complete and well-organised.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring full control and accuracy.
- Produce variance analysis and commentary, comparing actuals to budget and prior periods.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial insight to assist business decision-making.
- Oversee the maintenance of the fixed asset register and manage depreciation calculations.
- Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the wider finance function and provide cover and support where required.
