Tuition Centre Manager
Location: Learning Hive Tuition Centre, Hackney, London
Salary: £23,000–£26,000 per year (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-time (approximately 30 hours per week)

We're looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Centre Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our Hackney Tuition Centre. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, combining centre operations, parent engagement, student onboarding and team coordination to ensure every student has an outstanding learning experience.

Working Hours
Core working hours are:
- Tuesday to Friday: 3:00pm – 7:30pm
- Saturday: 8:45am – 3:30pm
Additional hours will be required to support the needs of the centre, including student enrolments, timetable planning, onboarding new families, parent meetings, examinations, holiday programmes and centre events. Flexibility is essential.
What You'll DoCentre Operations
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the Hackney Tuition Centre
- Open and close the centre each day
- Manage student arrivals and departures
- Ensure registers are completed accurately
- Prepare classrooms and learning resources
- Allocate tutors to teaching rooms
- Ensure lessons start and finish on time
- Resolve day-to-day operational issues
- Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming learning environment
Parent Communication & Student Onboarding
- Act as the first point of contact for parents and prospective families
- Conduct student registrations and onboard new families
- Explain Learning Hive's procedures, policies and expectations
- Schedule assessments and induction sessions
- Communicate timetable changes, absences and centre updates
- Liaise with parents regarding student progress where appropriate
- Ensure registration forms, consent forms and student records are accurately maintained
Team Coordination
- Support tutors with day-to-day centre operations
- Coordinate tutor timetables and room allocations
- Assist with onboarding new tutors where required
- Foster a positive and professional working environment
Administration
- Maintain accurate student attendance and centre records
- Support timetable planning and scheduling
- Respond to emails, telephone enquiries and parent queries
- Ensure documentation is completed accurately and in line with company procedures
What We're Looking For

- Experience in a management, supervisory or senior administrative role
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Confidence managing multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Strong IT skills and attention to detail
- The ability to build positive relationships with parents, students and colleagues
- A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience managing operations, administration or customer-facing services
- Availability to work the required evenings and Saturdays
- An Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- The right to work in the UK
