Experienced Baker Required – Culture Coffee
Culture Coffee is looking for an experienced, reliable Baker to join our growing team.
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for baking, strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently produce high-quality products in a busy production environment.
Experience Requirement: Minimum one year of professional baking experience.
The role will include:
- Producing a range of fresh baked goods, including breads, cakes, traybakes, pastries, cookies and other seasonal products
- Following Culture Coffee recipes, specifications and presentation standards accurately
- Measuring, weighing and preparing ingredients correctly
- Mixing doughs, batters, fillings and toppings to a consistent standard
- Monitoring baking times, oven temperatures and product quality throughout production
- Decorating cakes, pastries and traybakes to a high standard
- Packaging and preparing finished products for display and delivery to stores
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient bakery workspace
- Following all food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures
- Supporting the wider bakery and café team when required
Applicants must have:
- At least one year’s experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or in a similar professional bakery role
- Experience producing cakes, traybakes, pastries, breads and other baked goods
- Confidence using professional bakery equipment, including mixers, blenders, ovens and dough sheeters
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene, allergen awareness and safe food-handling procedures
- Experience with cake and pastry decoration
- Excellent time management and the ability to work to deadlines
- A high level of organisation, consistency and attention to detail
- The ability to remain calm and productive in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to work well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work early-morning shifts, including weekends where required
