Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper / Hotel receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and residents. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Handle guest inquiries and provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities.
- Maintain accurate records of guest bookings and reservations.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries.
- Address guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist with administrative tasks as required, including answering phone calls and managing correspondence.
- Promote hotel services and facilities to enhance the guest experience.
- Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
- Ensure all areas are kept clean, tidy, and well-organised at all times.
- Handle laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Assist with kitchen duties as needed, including cooking simple meals or preparing snacks for guests.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report when stock is low.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests promptly and courteously.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or housekeeping within a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues.
- Basic cooking skills are advantageous for assisting in kitchen duties.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently without supervision.
- Good organisational skills and the capacity to manage time effectively to meet cleaning schedules.
