About the Role
Gee Transport Ltd is looking to recruit 2 reliable and professional Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our growing distribution team based in Altrincham and Wythenshawe.
This role involves completing planned collections and deliveries across the North West using allocated vehicles and pre-planned manifests prepared by our Transport Office. Vehicles will be pre-loaded in delivery order by our warehouse and FLT team, allowing drivers to focus on delivering excellent service safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing scheduled North West collections and deliveries
- Working from planned manifests supplied by the Transport Office
- Carrying out daily vehicle defect checks before and after shift
- Reporting any vehicle defects promptly and accurately in line with company procedures
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally
- Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork and PODs
- Representing the company professionally with customers and clients
- Following all driver hours, road safety, and company compliance procedures
- Keeping allocated vehicles clean and well maintained
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Good knowledge of the North West road network preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Previous multidrop or pallet network experience beneficial but not essential
