Must-Have Criteria:
- Educational Expertise: Hold a qualified teacher status or possess substantial tutoring experience.
- Academic Proficiency: Boast a degree or be in the final stages of undergraduate studies, supplemented by tutoring experience.
- Subject Mastery: Exhibit strong subject knowledge in KS3, GCSE, and preferably AS/A-level English Literature and Language.
- Curriculum Mastery: Display a thorough grasp of National Curriculum requirements for KS3 English Literature and Language.
- Exam Insight: Understand exam board specifications for GCSE and preferably AS/A-level English Literature and Language.
- Communication Skills: Communicate effectively and engagingly.
- Organisational Skills: Be flexible, organised, punctual, and reliable.
- Educational Dedication: Be committed to students' academic growth and improvement.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs in English language skills.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions, focusing on QTS, GCSE, and A Level curriculum requirements.
- Foster a supportive learning environment for children, including those with special educational needs.
- Utilise strong communication skills to effectively convey concepts and encourage student participation.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with parents and educators to support student development and address any concerns.

We’re excited to offer new tutoring opportunities for the upcoming academic year.
We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who can commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week, with flexible availability on Saturdays, Sundays, and/or weekday evenings.
Key Dates:
- Tutor Interviews: Monday 24th, Tuesday 25th, or Wednesday 26th August 2026
- Tutor Induction: Successful applicants can attend an induction session on Monday 24th, Tuesday 25th, or Wednesday 26th August 2026, from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm. The induction date will be confirmed following the interview.
