Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Team Member to join our fish and chip shop family. This is a varied role perfect for an all-rounder who is comfortable handling everything from essential morning food prep to high-energy frying range shifts and friendly customer service. Key Responsibilities
Morning Preparation: Ensure the shop is ready for a busy day by prepping potatoes, chipping, and preparing various vegetables and meats.
Cooking & Frying: Confidently operate the traditional frying range to prepare high-quality fish, chips, and sides to our standards.
Food Prep: Prepare and assemble kebabs and other menu items efficiently.
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, handle payments, and serve food with excellent attention to detail.
Hygiene & Safety: Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen and service areas.
Operational Duties: Assist with checking in and organizing stock deliveries, and complete essential daily paperwork correctly.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience: Previous experience working within the fish and chip shop trade is strictly required.
Qualifications: Must hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene certification.
Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, a reliable work ethic, and the ability to work well under pressure during peak hours.
Attributes: A friendly, approachable personality with great communication skills for dealing with our local customers.
Salary & Benefits
Hourly Rate: Starting at £14.00 per hour
Hours: Part-time, between 20 to 28 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible shifts (to be discussed at interview)
