We are currently seeking an experienced Yardman to join our team at Bolton Buildings Ltd in a warehouse environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily operations in our warehouse and yard, ensuring materials are handled efficiently, safely, and accurately. This is a key leadership role requiring strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Processing of orders and call-offs to ensure all is ready for delivery and installation ensuring all frames are correct for the orders
Staining of frames and components – reporting any visible damage
Taking delivery of incoming materials checking against delivery note and order
Managing of stock levels and advising of items that require ordering
General managing of the warehouse, workshop and yard to ensure a tidy, safe working place for all.
Loading of trucks in readiness for installation on site
Collecting of materials as required
Clearing of sites as and when required
Delivery of buildings as required – some early starts maybe required. Overtime or time off in lieu will be given.
Weekly vehicle checks to ensure all are roadworthy, keeping them clean and advise of any faults
Working with and supporting other members of the team
Salary £28,000 to £30,000
