Frames Opticians – Corby
We’re looking for a confident, outgoing Canvasser / Optical Assistant to join our growing team at Frames Opticians in Corby.
This role is people-first and results-driven. Your main responsibility will be canvassing — engaging with people walking past the shop, starting friendly conversations, and inviting them into the practice for an eye test.
If you enjoy talking to people, aren’t afraid of rejection, and can confidently represent a business, this role could be perfect for you.
What the role involves (initially):
- Standing outside the practice during key hours
- Approaching members of the public in a friendly, confident manner
- Starting natural conversations and building quick rapport
- Inviting people into the practice to book or have an eye test
- Representing Frames Opticians professionally and positively
- Working towards clear daily and weekly targets
This role requires confidence and resilience — it is not a passive or behind-the-scenes position.
Progression & training
Once you’ve proven yourself to be proficient and consistent in canvassing, you will:
- Move into the practice
- Receive full training as an Optical Assistant / Optical Dispenser
- Learn frame styling, dispensing, customer care, and optical basics
- Progress into a long-term role within the business
