About the Role
Hybrid is growing, and our project delivery team needs to grow with it. We're looking for a Project Engineer to support the delivery of some our major projects from mobilisation through to handover.
You'll act as the technical link between our site teams and the office — making sure drawings, documentation, quotations and RAMS are right first time, and that our teams have the tools, materials and information they need to deliver safely and on programme.
What You'll Be Doing
- Reviewing scope of works and project drawings with the Project Manager and site team before works start
- Supporting project planning and scheduling to keep works on programme
- Acting as the link between site and office, ensuring accurate communication and paperwork flow
- Preparing and submitting project quotations, and producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Using Big Change to create and manage quotes and purchase orders
- Ensuring tools, materials, PPE and plant are available, suitable and ready before works begin
- Coordinating deliveries and collections with the admin and engineering teams, and monitoring usage of parts and consumables
- Providing technical support to both office and site teams, including attending site and night shifts when required
- Supporting remedial and maintenance works alongside the wider office team
- Assisting with onboarding, training and development of new and existing team members
- Reporting progress, risks and issues to your line manager
About You
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
- An electrical background, with a JIB or HERS card (or the ability to obtain one)
- HERS accredited training — EM First Aid, Manual Handling and Safety Critical Medical (or willingness to complete)
- Experience on highways, rail or electrical infrastructure projects
- Confidence producing RAMS, quotations and technical documentation
- Good working knowledge of drawings, specifications and site paperwork
- Flexibility to attend site and work night shifts when the programme requires it
- Strong organisation and communication skills, and a right-first-time approach
Why Hybrid
This role sits right at the heart of how we deliver. By joining now, you'll take pressure off our Project Managers, keep site teams productive, and help set the delivery standard on a high-profile project. It's a role with real visibility and a clear route into project management as the business grows.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 12 months, we'd expect you to have:
- Become the trusted technical link between site and office
- Delivered accurate quotations, RAMS and documentation on time and first time
- Reduced site downtime caused by missing materials, plant or information
- Kept project documentation complete, accurate and correctly stored
- Supported the onboarding and development of new team members
- Taken ownership of smaller works packages independently
