The Garden Spa by L’Occitane at The Bath Priory Hotel, part of the Andrew Brownsword Group of hotels, is seeking a Full-Time Spa Receptionist to join our established and professional spa team.
Located just a short walk from Bath city centre, with a bus stop directly outside, The Bath Priory is an elegant Georgian country house hotel set within four acres of award-winning gardens. With 33 bedrooms and a long-standing reputation for excellence, we are proud to have held 5-star awards for over ten years.
The Role
The Garden Spa is the only Spa in the UK and Ireland to partner with L’Occitane, offering guests a truly distinctive spa experience.
As Spa Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, helping to create a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive. You will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the spa, ensuring bookings, guest enquiries and administrative tasks are managed efficiently while maintaining the high standards our guests expect.
Key responsibilities include:
- Welcoming guests and providing exceptional customer service.
- Managing spa bookings, appointments and guest enquiries via telephone, email and in person.
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate guest records.
- Promoting spa treatments, memberships and retail products.
- Supporting therapists with daily operational requirements and treatment schedules.
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the reception and spa areas.
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures within the spa.
- Working collaboratively with the wider hotel team to uphold service standards.
- Ensuring all guests receive a professional, friendly and efficient experience throughout their visit.
About You
- Previous reception, hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
- Professional, organised and guest-focused.
- Strong communication and administrative skills.
- Comfortable working in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Confident using booking systems and handling guest enquiries.
- A positive team player with a proactive approach to work.
- Comfortable working flexibly within a rota system.
Weekend working is an essential requirement of this role. Please do not apply if you are unable to work weekends, as weekend shifts form part of the regular rota.
Pay
- An hourly rate of £12.85.
- Monthly service charge, shared fairly across the hotel. Typically around £160 per month (approximately £2,000 per year) for full-time employees, in addition to base pay.
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week across 5 days.
- Uncapped commission potential on retail sales.
