Join the Opening Team at The Greyhound Cromford
The Greyhound is one of the best-known pubs in the Cromford and Matlock area and is currently undergoing a major refurbishment ahead of an exciting reopening in October 2026.
The venue combines a historic pub and restaurant with a nine-bedroom boutique hotel, and we are now building the team that will help create the next chapter of The Greyhound.
We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic Bar Staff to join our opening team.
The Role
You’ll be part of a busy, customer-focused bar team, helping us deliver the warm, relaxed and professional hospitality we want The Greyhound to become known for.
Your role will include:
- Welcoming and looking after customers
- Serving beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks
- Taking orders and processing payments
- Preparing the bar before service
- Keeping the bar clean, organised and well stocked
- Maintaining high standards of glassware and presentation
- Working closely with the Bar Manager and wider front-of-house team
- Helping create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere for our customers
About You
Previous bar or hospitality experience is welcome, but it isn’t essential. Full training will be provided.
This could be a great opportunity if you are looking for your first serious role in hospitality, want to develop your skills, or already have bar experience and are looking for your next move.

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 45.0 per week
