Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Roofer to join our growing team. This is a varied role covering reactive roof repairs, gutter cleaning and pre-planned quoted roofing works across commercial properties.
The successful candidate will be confident identifying roofing defects, completing effective repairs and working safely with minimal supervision. You will represent the company while attending customer sites, so a professional attitude and good communication skills are essential.
Main duties
- Attend reactive call-outs to investigate leaks and roofing defects
- Diagnose faults and complete effective temporary or permanent repairs
- Carry out planned roofing works following approved quotations
- Replace damaged tiles, slates, felt, flashings and associated materials
- Complete gutter, downpipe and roof-area cleaning
- Clear blockages and identify damaged guttering or drainage components
- Assist with roof inspections and condition surveys
- Take clear before-and-after photographs of completed work
- Provide accurate information on additional repairs or materials required
- Complete job sheets and site documentation
- Follow risk assessments, method statements and safe-working procedures
- Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles
- Work safely at height using appropriate access equipment and PPE
Requirements
- Previous roofing experience
- Experience with reactive roof repairs and fault finding
- Comfortable working at height and outdoors in varying conditions
- Able to use roofing tools and access equipment safely
- Good practical problem-solving skills
- Professional and respectful when dealing with customers
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, punctual and willing to travel between sites
- CSCS card preferred; support may be available for the right candidate to obtain one
Please note this role may require you to work away around England, Ireland an other Europen destinations often.
Relevant working-at-height, asbestos-awareness, IPAF, PASMA or other construction qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential unless required for a particular site.
