Nexus Recruitment have been instructed by an established chartered surveyors in East Anglia, on an exciting new position within their Block & Estate Management team. Our client are looking for a Building Safety & Compliance assistant to come on board! Core responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance registers, trackers and records, ensuring accurate and auditable information is available at all times.
- Co-ordinate Fire Risk Assessments, Health & Safety inspections, Fire Door
- Inspections and other statutory surveys across the portfolio.
- Monitor and track remedial actions arising from inspections, assessments and audits, ensuring works are completed within agreed timescales.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act,
- Health and Safety legislation, RICS guidance and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintain records relating to fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire doors, lifts, asbestos, water hygiene, electrical installations and other compliance-critical systems.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a block management background or compliance background to step into a new role, and support from a building safety perspective. The following skillset/experience is required:
- Previous experience in Block Management, compliance or building safety
- Excellent attention to detail and able to identify H&S and fire safety concerns onsite
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Able to commute to the office 3 days a week
