Provide a service in the kitchen and prepare quality food for sale in Pen Dinas and for events and conferences. Provide a counter catering service for staff, readers and visitors. Responding to customer requirements; provide a seasonal, varied and attractive menu. The chef will need to ensure that the menus and work space comply with food safety regulations.
The working hours will reflect the needs of the business, 37 hours a week, Monday - Friday 9.00 - 5.00 but business needs may require flexibility. The person appointed will be required to work in the evenings and occasional weekends on a rota basis.
- Be an active, flexible and dedicated member of the catering service team at the Library.
- Prepare, cook and present tasty, standard and attractive foods
- Organizing and supervising the catering staff.
- Supervise the service and daily food production.
- Thinking about new opportunities to attract customers and increase sales
- Providing new recipes and foods to keep our customers
- Provide a courteous and effective service to all our customers
- Maintain a safe working environment by obeying Health and Safety Regulations and other relevant Food Hygiene Legislation.
- Serve food and drinks and work the till as required
- Preparing and providing food in activities, which can mean working at night and weekends
- Be an active, flexible and dedicated member of the Library's catering service team
- Commit to your training and personal development
- Any other reasonable requests in order to maintain standards.
