Response Officer
We are seeking a professional and highly motivated Response Officer to join our Security Team based within our 24/7 Response Centre, operated on behalf of The Emerson Group.
This is a varied and multi-disciplined role focused on crime prevention, client safety, and property protection across a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties throughout the UK. The successful candidate will play a vital role in monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and supporting the safety and security of our clients, properties, and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Security Monitoring & Incident Response
- Monitor electronic security systems including:
- CCTV
- Access Control Systems
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Intruder Alarm Systems
- Respond appropriately to alarms and security activations to prevent loss, damage, or disruption.
- Liaison with emergency services, security contractors, suppliers, clients, and employees during both routine operations and emergency situations.
Property Patrols & Emergency Response
- Carry out security patrols across the property portfolio on foot and by vehicle.
- Respond to emergency situations as the Emerson Group's point of contact when required.
- Support crime prevention initiatives and maintain a visible security presence.
Access Control Administration
- Assist with the administration and management of a large-scale access control system.
- Liaise with building occupiers and clients regarding access requirements and security procedures.
Reporting & Compliance
- Complete daily occurrence logs, incident reports, and other security documentation accurately and promptly using online reporting systems.
- Ensure escalation procedures are followed and implemented where necessary.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all security-related activities and incidents.

Desirable
- Previous experience within security operations, monitoring centres, control rooms, or a similar environment.
- Experience using CCTV, access control, fire, or intruder alarm systems.
- A full UK driving licence.
