We're looking for an experienced and pragmatic Data & Digital Strategic Lead on a 12-month fixed term placement to help us strengthen how we use data, technology and information across the organisation.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital and data capability within a successful and ambitious charity. Working across clinical operations, fundraising, support services and research, you'll help us establish strong foundations for governance, reporting, information management and digital maturity.
You'll act as the organisation's Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) while helping us define a clear roadmap for how data, digital and technology can better support our people.
This isn't a traditional IT leadership role. We already have good people, good systems and exciting projects underway. What we need is someone who can join the dots, bring structure, challenge current thinking, and help us build a modern, sustainable approach to digital and data across the organisation.
Key areas of focus

Acting as EHAAT's Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO)

Developing a Digital, Data and Information Strategy

Improving organisational digital maturity and ways of working

Establishing clear governance, ownership and accountability for data and information

Improving the use and adoption of platforms such as Microsoft 365, Teams and SharePoint

Supporting the development of an integrated data architecture

Exploring opportunities for automation, AI and emerging technologies

Providing assurance and advice to Executive Team and Board colleagues

Working with internal teams and external partners to ensure technology investments deliver value
About you
You'll be an experienced digital, data, technology or information governance leader who has successfully helped organisations navigate change and improve their digital capability.
You may come from the NHS, wider healthcare, financial services, technology, charity or regulated sectors. Most importantly, you'll have experience bringing clarity and structure to complex environments and balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery.
You will be comfortable working with senior leaders and trustees, challenging constructively when needed, and translating complex digital and data topics into practical actions.
Experience as a SIRO, senior information governance lead, digital transformation leader or equivalent would be highly desirable.

The Package
Salary: £36,000 per annum
