Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 3.5 Tonne Driver with the ability to tow to join our family business driving a Mercedes sprinter flatbed pickup. Bonus if they have a 7.5t/Class 2/Class 1 licence. Would suit someone looking to slow down from full time driving and doesn't want a full working week but is available Monday to Friday when required.
Duties
- Operate a 3.5t pickup for the transportation of goods.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers/customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence (3.5t with towing, 7.5 Tonne or class 1/2)
- Tachograph Card
- Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Pay
- £13 per hour flat rate (average 35-40 hours per week)
