Join our dynamic team as a Motor Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles and equipment. We also have a large fleet of motorhomes that require maintenance and servicing on a regular basis due to the hire aspect of these vehicles which would be part of your day to day duties.
Duties
- Diagnose mechanical problems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs accurately
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate
- Assist with heavy lifting and equipment repair tasks safely and efficiently
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a secure work environment
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients or team members
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on various vehicle systems
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and manual tasks required in vehicle repair work
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration
- Prior experience in maintenance or equipment repair is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
