General Manager Description – June 2026
About Faweather Grange;
We are a family run 5 star lodge park in Bradford, near Baildon, Yorkshire. We have been running holidays for over 30 years and are looking for a passionate individual to take over the manager role of our 10 acre park with 10 lodges for rentals. We pride ourselves in customer satisfaction and feedback, this should be at the forefront of your mind when carrying out tasks in and around the lodges/park.
Preferred Candidate;
We are looking for a well presented, friendly individual who is willing to work closely within the team to ensure a result of having happy customers on their holidays.
- Experience in staff management, hospitality, sales or customer service-related roles.
- Flexibility to aid other team members with tasks which could include maintenance duties within your skill set (we are a small team so we all help each other for a common goal)
- Computer literate and ability to manage social media channels
- Self-motivated individual who works well under pressure to complete tasks by a set time
- A fit and healthy individual, a large portion of the day will be spent on foot walking between areas of the park to and from lodges carrying out checks and assigning tasks
About The Job:
- Running of lodge changeovers – morning departures – afternoon arrivals with lodge checks and reactive maintenance in between
- Create daily worksheets for staff (approx. 4 people) – assigning jobs with task prioritisation
- Office admin, enquiries, input bookings, lodge break pricing / offers etc
- Process payments by card, cash, BACS and online
- Monthly invoicing, budgeting and purchases – it is your responsibility to create and allocate a spend budget monthly to allocate resources where necessary
- Monthly scheduling of sub-contractors (cleaning teams, gardeners etc)
- Guest check in – including help with luggage to lodges and a run through of information
- Social media – posts and photography
- Website – Admin and updating pricing etc (web developers are used for major layout changes)
- Use of online booking system
Working Hours:
- 4 days per week (regular) 2 extra days per month (choice of Tuesday or Thursday (flexible))
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday - 0830 – 1700 (30 min unpaid lunch)
- Extra days (2) – can be discretionary 0900 - 1600
- Total paid hours per week 32 + 6.5 when operating extra day
Pay:
- £18ph
- This equates to £32,994 PA (expected)
- Overtime must be agreed in advance and is paid at your normal hourly rate.
- On call days; There will be times when the owners go away which require you to cover the maintenance phone for problems/emergencies.
- 25.5 days paid holiday. Public holidays are often workdays and are taken in lieu.
