CFM is a contract furniture manufacturer employing 90 people across three sites in Pontefract and Castleford. We specialise in creating high-quality furniture for the care home sector, helping our clients design exceptional interiors.

Due to our continued growth, we require a Despatch Operative with an in-date FLT Counterbalance Licence to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.
Working Hours:
- Monday – Thursday 7am – 4.30pm
- Friday 7am – 11.00am
Breaks:
- Two 15-minute breaks (unpaid)
- One 30-minute break (paid)
Responsibilities:
- Loading/ unloading vehicles - You must be physically fit as you will be required to: Regularly lift, carry, and move furniture items weighing over 25kg, ensuring proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Wrapping items with care
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of furniture as needed, which requires physical strength and dexterity.
- Check all items that are going out against paperwork to make sure all items are there and correct
- Quality check items before loading to ensure they are not damaged
- Operate the Forklift Truck in accordance within the Health & Safety Guidelines
- Loading / Unloading Vehicles with FLT
- Help support production as and when as the role does not involve FLT 100% of the day
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years consistent FLT Counterbalance Experience
- In date FLT Counterbalance licence essential that has been refreshed within the last 3 years. In-house Licences will not be accepted
- An understanding of H&S is essential as well as to demonstrate knowledge of safety requirements within a busy Warehouse environment.
