An exciting opportunity has come up within the Information Governance Team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. We're looking for an organised and motivated Information Governance Officer to join the team. The successful applicant will play a key role in helping the Information Governance team maintain high standards in relation to handling information and in ensuring information rights are met within the organisation.
The Successful candidate should have a keen interest or direct experience in Information Governance, preferably in the health and social care sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to develop their Information Governance career.
The Information Governance Officer is an essential part of the Information Governance Department and supports the Information Governance Framework in delivering a high quality service to all customers and stakeholders.

Provide dedicated support to the Information Governance Team to achieve the requirements of the IG Framework.
Contributing to Data Protection Impact Assessments.
Facilitating the Trusts Information Governance Audit programme.
Support Trust wide projects with Information Governance Support.
Aid in the IG Training of Trust users.
Support the Information Governance Manager with the Data Protection and Security Toolkit.
Process Information Requests (SAR & FOI).
Support the Trust with complying with Data Protection legislation and associated tasks.
Contribute to the delivery of the Trusts Registration Authority function (Smartcards).
Contributing to the development and maintenance of all relevant policies and procedures for compliance with information rights legislation across the Trust including proposing policy changes
Communicating effectively at all levels, verbally and in writing and establish and maintain communication with individuals and groups, internally and externally.
Undertaking such additional tasks as the Information Governance Manager / DPO may determine and which are appropriate to the grade, including those tasks and projects which are related to the development of governance across the Trust.
