Pennine Recruitment, acting as an employment business, are delighted to be recruiting for a Night Shift Supervisor to join an established manufacturing business on a full-time, permanent basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the night shift, supervising the team, supporting production and ensuring high standards of quality, health & safety and site security are maintained throughout the shift.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the night shift
- Supervising and supporting the night shift production team
- Operating production machinery and maintaining a strong understanding of production processes
- Ensuring products are manufactured to the required specifications and quality standards
- Effectively allocating manpower and delegating tasks across the shift
- Ensuring all staff work efficiently, correctly and safely
- Carrying out basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting where required
- Ensuring all health & safety procedures and company policies are followed
- Completing effective handovers with the Day Shift Supervisor
- Reporting any staff performance, production or machinery issues to management
- Taking responsibility for the security of the site and facilities throughout the night shift
To be successful, you will:
- Have previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Have a strong understanding of production processes and machinery
- Be confident managing and motivating a team
- Be able to work independently and use your own initiative
- Have good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Have a strong understanding of health & safety procedures
- Be reliable, responsible and able to remain calm under pressure
- Have good communication skills and be confident liaising with management
- Be flexible and willing to support the business when required
Working Hours:
- Night shift – Monday to Thursday 18.30 to 06.30.
