Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Personal Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care home and home care settings. Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in accordance with care plans.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including helping them move safely around their environment.
- Follow detailed care plans to deliver tailored care that respects individual preferences and needs.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent and effective care.
- Use IT tools to document care activities accurately and update client records regularly.
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as needed, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules.
- Promote independence by encouraging clients to participate in daily activities while providing necessary assistance.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Strong driving skills and a valid driving license are preferred for transporting clients safely.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Basic IT literacy for documenting care activities and updating electronic records.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to personal care and transportation.
