Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our cosy pub. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring all drinks are prepared to the highest standards. Duties
- Welcome guests and take drink orders with a friendly and attentive approach
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
- Ensure all drinks are served accurately and efficiently, maintaining high quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout your shift
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system effectively
- Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Engage with guests to create a lively and enjoyable atmosphere, promoting repeat business
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Take food orders and run food when required
Requirements
- Proven experience in hospitality, food safety, or serving roles within a restaurant or bar environment is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good understanding of basic maths for handling transactions and measuring ingredients
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Knowledge of food safety standards and licensing laws related to serving alcohol
- A positive attitude, team player mentality, and eagerness to learn new skills
- Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
