JOB TITLE: Joinery Finisher
RESPONSIBLE TO: Joinery Production Supervisor
HOURS: Full time Mon-Fri 0800 -1630 (1530 finish on Fridays) – 39 hour week
JOB DESCRIPTION
Forming part of a team manufacturing a range of bespoke, unique high end entrance doors. You will mainly be preparing the doors for spraying; this will involve sanding before and during the spraying process. You will also be spraying the doors with different paints and be involved with the application of metal coating to the doors and then in creating the unique and individual finishes in these metals before the doors receive their lacquer coatings. This is a great opportunity for someone who has previous experience in spraying or is practically minded as we will offer full training on all aspects of the job.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tier 2 Competencies
- Prepare to a paint ready finish, all joinery products prior to paint application including prep between coats.
- Spray paint to the highest standards achievable, water-based primer and top coats.
- Spray paint to the highest standards achievable metal primer/lacquer and apply metal finishes.
- Ensure spraying equipment is maintained according to needs.
5 Carryout small repairs to timber products on-site.
6 Complete all company documentation in line with company procedures.
Tier 3 Competencies
- Consistently produce the desired patina and oxidisation process on the metal doors and be able to overcome associated problems with the natural reaction.
- Able to fault find and repair metal doors on site.
- Polishing of metal finishes.
- Quality control to the highest standard.
- Able to train and monitor others in door production disciplines.
- A detailed knowledge of the spraying equipment and able to maintain and repair.
- Paint spraying to an exceptionally high standard.
- Develop and improve finishing techniques
KEY SKILLS
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Attention to detail with an eye for a high-quality finish.
- Artistic flair to achieve patters within metal finishes
- Able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational skills and good time keeping.

Pay: £12.75-£13.89 per hour
