Our local authority client based in York is looking for a qualified Plumber for an immediate start.
This is a temporary role for a minimum of 6 months, with the potential to go permanent. The work will involve a mix of residential or domestic homes and flats.
The role is from Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week, working within a pre-allocated appointment system. Work will be within the York district.
The rate of pay is up to £25.00 per hour, dependent upon experience.
You’ll have a proven track record of working in a customer-focused environment carrying out;
- building repairs
- maintenance and renewals, from emergency to other routine reactive repairs, on numerous sites daily to single site programmed repairs and refurbishment work.
The ideal applicant will be an experienced and well skilled plumber. Ideally, you’ll have residential and/or commercial background. Although you’ll be working as part of a team, we expect the successful candidate to carry out the necessary work themselves, at times without supervision. You’ll also need to be confident in liaising with the wider team, following instruction and completing works in a timely manner.
For this role, you’ll need to have a current UK driving licence, hold the appropriate trade qualifications (NVQ / City and Guilds or equivalent), together with good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy and reactive work load.
